Welcome to the Autumn Edition of BlogVille!
The summer edition of this year’s BlogVille finished a few weeks ago but the city of Bologna and the beautiful region of Emilia-Romagna are already preparing to welcome our second round of influencers and bloggers for an autumnal visit later this year.
The autumn/fall edition of BlogVille will take place over two weeks from 22nd October until 5th November 2018. The city will be a little cooler and the landscape will be changing colours, but there is still plenty to see and do in this region that is rich in history, culture, tradition, and gastronomy. BlogVille essentially offers influencers and bloggers a place to stay (in the BlogVille apartment in the centre of Bologna) from which they can explore the city and surrounding region with support from the local tourist board, and with enough free time to find their own experiences and stories.
As with many regions of Europe, because this time of year is harvest, the region has many food and wine festivals taking place so BlogVille partners iambassador and Emilia-Romagna are especially looking for bloggers and influencers with a strong interest in food, wine and culinary culture.

More information about BlogVille
If you’d like to find out more about the history of BlogVille and what it offers influencers and bloggers who are interested in participating read on below.
BlogVille was launched in 2012 by the region of Emilia Romagna in partnership with two members of the iambassador team, Melvin Boecher and Kash Bhattacharya. Since then, the BlogVille concept has grown in leaps and bounds, proving its worth by generating top-quality content and reaching millions of travellers worldwide. In 2013 the project opened its doors to the Republic of San Marino, which since then plays an active role in the campaign together with Emilia Romagna. In 2014, the project saw the inclusion of another Italian destination, the Lombardia region, with an apartment available for bloggers in Milan. In 2017 the partnership was extended to include the Austrian region of Tirol and featured both a winter and summer edition for the first time. Over the years BlogVille has won several awards including the Innovative Initiative Award at the Social Media Tourism Symposium 2014 in Rovaniemi (FIN), and the Best Travel 2.0 Innovation award at 2012 World Travel Market in London (UK).
The aim of BlogVille is to provide bloggers with accommodation and some support to discover their own stories about a destination. Supported by iambassador and local representatives from Emilia Romagna Tourist Board, there will also be several opportunities for influencers and bloggers to explore Bologna and the area both independently and on organised trips. All bloggers will also have the option to create a customised itinerary to find things in Emilia Romagna that are aligned with their interests and niche, meaning that there is also freedom and time to explore at your own pace. A blogger’s BlogVille trip reflects their interests, niche and preferred way to travel, as opposed to a classic blog or press trip.
