We are excited to announce that iambassador will once again collaborate with WTM Africa in Cape Town, South Africa in 2016. As part of the collaboration, iambassador will organise a series of presentations in the Travel Tech Theatre and Conference Theatre on 6th, 7th and 8th April 2016. These presentations will focus on digital marketing and professional travel blogging.

The Business of Travel Blogging: from branding to building traffic and partnerships
Time/Place: Thursday, 7 April 11h30 – 12h15 : Conference Theatre
Speakers: Keith Jenkins, Meruschka Govender, Lauren and Vaughan McShane, Andy Higgs
This session is designed for travel bloggers and companies/organisations with blogs. Panelists Keith Jenkins from Velvet Escape, Lauren and Vaughan McShane from The Travel Manuel, Meruschka Govender from Mzansi Girl and Andy Higgs from Grown-up Travel Guide will each speak about the various aspects of professional travel blogging. Keith will speak about the importance of branding and marketing; Meruschka will share her views on finding a unique voice; while Lauren and Vaughan will focus on driving traffic and the power of engagement, and Andy will speak about partnerships with the tourism industry.
Measuring the impact of a digital marketing campaign

Speakers: Keith Jenkins (CEO, iambassador), Nicholas Montemaggi (CMO, iambassador) and Brandseye
This session highlights the immediate and long term impact of digital marketing in tourism. Using case studies and related data, Keith, Nicholas and Brandseye will demonstrate the benefits of working with online influencers, creating effective digital marketing campaigns and how to measure them.
Other activities
iambassador will host a casual a blogger/industry ‘Meet & Greet’ session on Friday, 8th April at 14h30 in the Press Conference Theatre. The networking session is an ideal opportunity for DMOs and brands to meet African travel bloggers and influencers.
In addition, iambassador will also organise the second #WTMAfricaDream photo competition for the travel bloggers.
