iambassador was once again very active at ITB Berlin this year. In addition to our annual ITB Tweet-up event, iambassador presented a session on ‘The State of Travel Blogging’ at the eTravelWorld stage and participated in a panel discussion at the MICE Night. We also announced the location of The Social Travel Summit 2018 and kicked off various new projects.

The State of Travel Blogging

Keith Jenkins (CEO, iambassador) and Melvin Boecher (COO, iambassador and Founder, Traveldudes) shared their insights on developments in the travel blogging community over the past years to a packed crowd at the eTravel World stage. The presentation included examples of how travel bloggers are innovating and forging new partnerships, as well as case studies of pioneering campaigns and tips on how to create successful partnerships with travel bloggers.

ITB Tweet-up 2018

A big thank you to all the ITB Tweetup 2018 sponsors

The 8th iambassador-Traveldudes #ITBTweetup welcomed roughly 200 guests to MUSE restaurant for a British-themed evening. The Premier Sponsor of the event, VisitBritain, made it a memorable evening, with contemporary British food (a huge thank you to MUSE for the excellent food!), British wines, ales and gins (thank you to Chapel Down Wines). The innovative campaign, ‘24 Hours in the UK‘, a partnership between iambassador and VisitBritain, was featured during the event, and was met with a thunderous applause.

Chapel Down wines, and ales from the Curious Brewery were served.

VisitBritain also handed special prizes to lucky draw winners.

The ITB Tweet-up was also the platform for the announcement of the location of The Social Travel Summit 2018. The announcement that Belfast, Northern Ireland, will be this year’s host city was greeted with much excitement.
